Training for the Long Haul

My passion for exercise was born out of necessity. I have Sprengel's Deformity, meaning my left scapula is elevated, the wrong shape, and rotated internally. This caused years of debilitating pain and left me with an extremely limited range of motion.

I spent the ages of 15 to 25 fixing my shoulder. I tried every exercise modality, every group class, Bikram, Moon and hatha yoga, every special stretching and mobility regime, foam rolling and massage, all to no avail. Despite having tried all the best exercise advice bro-science internet article and Men's Health had to offer, I found the only effective treatment was regular old strength training. As my strength increased, the mobility I had tried and failed for years to cultivate increased, as my mobility increased, my pain decreased. It felt like magic, but really it was just the hard, boring work of relearning the basics with my shoulder's unique mechanics.

I founded Body By Bondy to help people become strong with less trouble than I had. I train people in the Baltimore-Pikesville metro area in the comfort of their own homes, helping them internalize the importance of healthy living habits by providing strengths-based support and customized wellness plans.
